We are pleased to announce that on Friday May 31, IBC® and Intergas® was acquired by Rheem Manufacturing Company. Founded in 1925, Rheem is the Brand leader in water heating and the only manufacturer in North America that produces heating, cooling, water heating, pool/spa heating, commercial boilers and commercial refrigeration products that are available in more than 50 countries. With headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, the company’s portfolio of premium brands include: Rheem®, Raypak®, Ruud®, Eemax®, Richmond®, Splendid®, Solahart® and EverHot™ as well as commercial refrigeration brands Russell®, Witt®, ColdZone® and Kramer®, which are part of the Heat Transfer Products Group (HTPG®).
IBC and Intergas are now an important part of Rheem’s Global Water Division and will operate as a subsidiary of Rheem. We will continue to leverage our breadth of product lines, distribution networks, technology and expertise in residential and light commercial gas fired condensing boilers and combi boilers. Rheem fully supports our existing strategic growth plan and will help champion its advancement.
For our valued IBC customers, you will notice no impact as customer accounts remain unchanged. With a shared focus on energy-saving innovation and supporting a more sustainable future, the integration of IBC and Intergas into the Rheem family of brands is the perfect fit.
Like IBC and Intergas, Rheem fosters a culture that emphasizes
respect, integrity and inclusion. In addition to the already strong
product synergies, our complementary cultures make this collaboration
both exciting and exceptional.
It is business as usual as the entire IBC and Intergas management team
remains intact and we will continue to operate from our existing
facilities in Coevorden, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Wisconsin and New
Jersey.
We look forward to the next chapter in our continued success.
